A classic, highly aesthetic combination specimen from the famous Yanga Koubenza deposit in the Republic of the Congo. The specimen presents intensely saturated, royal-blue azurite coatings and micro-crystalline crusts covering a limonitic matrix. Perched prominently upon the azurite are gemmy, cyclic-twinned crystals of Cerussite with brilliant adamantine luster and high transparency. Under shortwave/longwave UV light, the cerussite exhibits a strong, vivid yellow-green fluorescence (as shown in UV photography). Comes mounted on a clear acrylic display base. A top-tier collector piece from an iconic African locality.
