A 19th-century hanging wall étagère is an extraordinary and highly sought-after antique. Because it was designed to be mounted, this piece perfectly combined functionality with elegance. It allowed 19th-century households to display small, prized collectibles at eye level without taking up valuable floor space in drawing rooms or parlors.
The substantial, wide frame and the deep recess of the three shelves indicate it was crafted to serve as a visual focal point in a room—acting almost like a three-dimensional framed painting on the wall.
13x71x88H cm in very good eccellente condition
