Rare Roulet & Decamp automaton with its head, all original by Simon & Halbig. The doll swims with nice movements. The body is made of cork, both the upper part and the lower part, bisque head, wooden arms and legs with a kind of original protective lacquer. It has its original rubber cap and its original dress of a 20th-century swimmer. The mechanism works, even if it is a bit slow. A truly nice piece thanks to its originality. Roulet & Decamp were famous for their automata.
