HUBENS & DEGUÉ A nickel-plated bronze or solid brass French art deco pendant by Francis Hubens made around 1930-35. It holds a nice large bowl by Degué done in light pink partly frosted molded-pressed glass. Francis Hubens was a Paris based lighting manufacturer during the interbellum. With his workshop and showroom at 68 rue des Archives. Hubens primarily used Degué shades for his fixtures. Some models specially made for Hubens by Degué bear a Hubens signature. The pendant on offer has a 38,2 cm wide Degué bowl. The canopy made in several similar versions was used by Hubens for numerous pendants and small chandeliers. It is represented in the 1935-36 Hubens product catalog which is no part of this sale. The pendant is 49 cm high. It is in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the fixture.
