Each panel is framed with delicate gold flecks, enhancing the elegance of the compositions. The screens bear the signatures and seals of several distinguished artists, including Miyahara Ian (宮原易庵), also known as Miyahara Setsuan (宮原節菴), a prominent Confucian scholar and calligrapher active from the late Edo period to the early Meiji era. Originally from Onomichi in Bingo Province (now Hiroshima), he studied under Rai Sanyō and later at the prestigious Shōheikō academy in Edo. Another notable name present is Wang Yiting (王一亭), also known as Hakuryū Sanjin (白龍山人), a celebrated painter of the late Qing and early Republic of China period, known for his poetic and Buddhist-themed artworks. His expertise spanned figures, birds-and-flowers, and landscapes, and he remains highly esteemed in China today. The screens show natural signs of age, including scuffs, stains, minor tears, and repairs. The wooden frames have small chips. Please refer to the images for further details.
