Two Large Tibetan Bronze Butter Lamps, early 20th Century. Both Lamps graceful in their simple form. each raised in a tall hollow bell-shaped foot towering to a ribbed tapering cylinder. The stem bowls with deep sides and incised with four stripes. In the Buddhist tradition the light of the Butter Lamp flame symbolised the wisdom of the enlightenment mind. Dispelling the darkness of delusion and mental obscuration. Good condition with traces of age and dark patina.
