A set of three impressive garden ornaments in the form of elegant cranes 鶴 (tsuru), finely cast in bronze with delicate detailing. Traditionally placed near a pond or water feature, these graceful birds enhance the atmosphere of a Japanese garden, harmonising beautifully with stone lanterns 灯篭 (tôrô) and other ornaments. They also make a striking statement when displayed on their own. Two of the cranes stand tall with their heads raised skyward: one with an open beak, as if calling out in that very moment. The third bends forward in a lively pose, eagerly looking down to catch something. All three are in very good original condition, with an appealing patina and only minimal traces of use.
