For me, the 2020 Chorey-lès-Beaune Village showed much more freshness and delineation compared to Rouget’s Bourgogne Rouge. Blackcurrant and raspberry scents blossom on the nose, focused with neatly integrated oak. The palate is fresh on the entry with a lovely grainy texture, plenty of black cherry fruit with a slightly piquant finish. A lovely Chorey-lès-Beaune. (NM)
