Ink and colours on Silk, 'Chua Thay' and 'Qua Rung Phong Lan' BUI HUY HIEU (1937-2006) was an artist of the Vietnamese School of Fine Arts, renowned for his work on various types of fabrics and also his delicate and captivating "morning misty landscapes" produced on silk. Superb work on silk depicting boats at dawn, poetically called by the artist in the margin "Qua Rung Phong Lan" (translation: "Through the forest of orchids").
