The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks, new master made bridge, finest boxwood set up and Vision strings. The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of strongly narrow flamed maple. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. Rich amber varnish over golden ground shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 586 mm and the back 357 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 167 mm; middle bouts: 114 mm; lower bouts: 208 mm. The sound is very good, suitable for soloist.
