Original vintage English riding boots with history!! - 靴子 - 尺寸: EU 37 - Vintage
Black leather riding boots with original wooden boot trees. Made by a well known bootmaker and great looking as display item in hall or on top of shelves. 42 cm high.
Marked Mrs. B.C.M. Western and were by Dorothy Wilson born around 1890
Dorothy Wilson married B.C.M. Western on September 20, 1926 in Cape Town, Cape Province South Africa. Bertram Charles Maximilian Western, DSO was Lt. Colonel East Lancashire regiment.
Born 25 Jun 1886 in Greytown, Wellington, New Zealand
and died on active service 21.4.1942 at age 55 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He received the Distinguished Service order
Boots were made bij Bartley & Co Military and Hunting boot makers located on 493 Oxford Street London. Estimated 1930’s
Bartley closed their doors in1952 and the business was taken over by Peal & Co just along Oxford Street.
Peal & Co. in turn closed in 1965/1966
