Tlatilco Terracotta Figurine – 12th to 6th century BC – 80x50x37 mm – 98 g This expressive terracotta torso represents a female figure from the Tlatilco culture, known for its rich ceramic tradition in the Valley of Mexico. The figure displays prominent facial features, including deep-set eyes and a pronounced nose, as well as clearly modeled breasts, suggesting fertility or ritual significance. A subtle crest-like headdress or hair element is visible at the top of the head. The rough-textured ceramic contains visible mineral inclusions, characteristic of Tlatilco clay composition. While fragmentary, the object retains a strong sense of form and presence.
