2017 Bastien Pointillart - 香檳 - 1 Bottle (0.75L)

100% Meunier in this cuvée from Bastien Pointillart's 2017 vintage, disgorged in May 2025, zero dosage. Bastien Pointillart has been working in the vineyards for 10 years. Based in Chamery, he inherited 1.4 hectares of vines from his parents, who were winegrowers but not winemakers. The vines are in their eighth year of organic cultivation and have been certified since the 2021 harvest. He has been operating under his own name since 2018 but has been making wine since 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he produced small quantities of champagne (currently still on lees) and Coteaux Champenois like Aurélien Lurquin, which he is only now releasing. You will understand that patience and time are virtues for him. Since 2018, he has been making his wines literally in his garage with a small ratchet press. Today, he vinifies the equivalent of 20 acres and sells the rest by the kilo to finance the wood-fired oven for his future bakery. Ultimately, he would like to settle for 40 acres of vines so that he can also become a farmer-baker and use the cereals he produces to make bread (For people who love Elise Bougy & Gaspard Brochet).
