20th century and late Qing Dynasty water pots for the scholar's table. One features a vibrant "Lion and Cub" motif (symbolizing high rank and a lineage of greatness太师少师) in red and green enamels. The other is a rare shoe-form water pot, carved with ruyi cloud-head patterns, embodying the auspicious wishes for a smooth and rapid rise in career ("Ascending with the Clouds" 平步青云and "Rapid Promotion"一路高升). Both pieces are exquisitely crafted and rich in symbolic meaning, making them exceptional scholar's objects. Additionally, there is also a Qing Dynasty famille rose small vase and two modern glass snuff bottles with inside-painted decorations. All five items are sold together. They are in perfect condition, with the shoe-form example accompanied by its original wooden stand.
