Arne Norell, Pair of “Scirocco” Safari Chairs, Sweden, 1960s
A pair of original “Scirocco” Safari Chairs designed by Arne Norell in the 1960s. Crafted from solid rosewood with black leather seats, backs, and armrests. The chairs feature Norell’s signature knock-down safari construction, held together by leather straps without screws or nails.
Both chairs are in very good vintage condition, with beautifully aged leather and a warm rosewood patina. A fine example of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design and highly collectible pieces from Norell’s oeuvre.
