May 16, 2025, is the release date of Gem Pack Vol. 2 , the second installment in the Gem Pack series , intended for distribution in mainland China and therefore published exclusively in Simplified Chinese. Unlike other Pokémon TCG expansions in Simplified Chinese seen in the past, Gem Pack Vol. 2 offers only one type of booster pack with four cards per pack, lacking the option of a larger booster pack. The booster box contains fifteen booster packs, with each pack guaranteed to contain a card of rare, double rare, or triple rare rarity.
The expansion focuses on Eevee and specifically on the many evolutions of this fluffy, rabbit-like Pokémon—or, as they are commonly called, "Eeveelutions." Eevee is currently the most evolvable Pokémon in the entire game, with eight available evolved forms. Each of these Eeveelutions is celebrated in Gem Pack Vol. 2 with a different card featuring variant art. The most notable of these variants are collected in a subset created specifically for this expansion by Japanese artist HYOGONOSUKE: four cards with previously unseen artwork that, when placed side by side, form a larger image depicting Eevee and its Eeveelutions enjoying a day of rest in a pleasant meadow near a forest. Once the composite scene is assembled, we find, proceeding from left to right across the landscape: Leafeon , Sylveon , Umbreon , and the original Eevee itself .
Eeveelution at full blast
Eleven more Evolution cards round out this massive tribute to Eevee across several variant types: reverse foil cards, V and VMAX cards, as well as unique cards featuring the Gem Pack logo printed on them. Reverse foil cards—those where every element of the card is foil except the artwork—include Vaporeon , which was previously a promo for Sword and Shield ; Flareon from Voltage Blaze ; and Glaceon , also from Sword and Shield .
Pokémon V cards are cards that have received a boost in power and HP, but now award two Prize cards instead of one when defeated. VMAX versions are the direct evolutions of V versions and are worth an extra Prize card, for a total of three. Some examples involving the Eevee family and found in Gem Pack Vol. 2 include Espeon V and Jolteon VMAX . Finally, here's our base Eevee in the version with the Gem Pack logo
