An original Ottoman War Medal, also known as the Gallipoli Star, dating from the First World War.
The medal features the classic five-pointed red-enamel star with the tughra of Sultan Mehmed V at the centre, symbolising bravery and distinguished service.

This example is crafted in silvery tombac and retains an attractive red enamel surface with age-appropriate wear. A solid and collectible piece from the Ottoman Empire’s wartime decorations.
