It is frequently a representation of the division of the world into four elements (or cardinal points), or alternately as the union of the concepts of divinity, the vertical line, and the world, the horizontal line. Material: 18K red gold and details in silver (touchstone tested) Technique: The rose cuts are set on foil. This is a ancient technique that was used to bring the lustre of the diamonds to its best quality. This is being done by placing in the closed mounting under the diamond a highly polished cone of silver foil. Diamond(s): Twelve senaille and rose cuts. A senaille is a simplified rose cut diamond, a small diamond chip with perhaps a few polished facets. - We understand that private buyers may expect diamond weights to be provided, but in the case of rose-cut or senaille diamonds, this is simply not standard practice among industry professionals specialising in antique and vintage jewellery.
