These prints were published by Yuyudo, one of the most respected woodblock publishers of the postwar era, and supervised by the renowned ukiyo-e scholar Takamisawa Tadao, ensuring exceptional faithfulness to the Edo-period originals. The original silver presentation case bears Hokusai’s famous later-life artist name, “Gakyō Rōjin Manji” (The Old Man Mad About Painting), adding historical depth and collector interest.
