The Saint-Péray quarry is a small locality in the western Ardèche, at the edge of the Massif Central. It sporadically yields beautiful combinations of fluorite, baryte, calcite, chalcopyrite, and marcasite, though fine specimens remain very scarce.
This is an exceptional specimen featuring zoned phantom fluorite crystals (up to 0.5 cm on edge) scattered across a granitic matrix. The crystals are highly lustrous and gemmy
