This pendant features an integral suspension loop and a subtly punched symbolic scene, consisting of: • A lion facing left • A pointed star (solar symbol) above • A crescent moon below This powerful combination unites solar, lunar, and animal symbolism, suggesting a protective or astrological function. Such amulets were commonly worn for protection, strength, guidance and good fortune. The lion — associated with power, royalty, and the zodiac sign Leo — paired with celestial symbols makes this a deeply meaningful personal object from antiquity. The soft olive tone of the glass and shimmering surface are consistent with Roman glass production using mineral-rich silica.
