This impressive vase designed by Charles Graffart was made by Val Saint Lambert, Belgium in 1938. The twelve-sided faceted, diagonal design is complimented by horizontal clear bands interspersed with turquoise bands with an undulating edge. The sturdy vase base is of turquoise crystal finishing in a 12-sided clear, faceted crystal top. This clever design is carved in such a way that the clear crystal bands could almost be thought to be edged with silver. The vase is illustrated on page 160 of the book "Val Saint Lambert Cristallerie" catalogue 1920 & 1930 - 1938 (See photos). Condition is excellent, no chips or cracks with only slight scratching on the base due to movement. Careful packaging will ensure a safe delivery.
