Beautiful high-relief, medieval hunting scene. Beautifully detailed! Four hunters on horseback leaving the castle for the hunt. Visible deer hunting, three hunting dogs attack a deer. In the foreground near the castle we see figures blowing their hunting horns. On the branches of the trees are various ravens or crows watching the proceedings. All around the edge of the lid is a beautiful medieval text in relief. Probably in Latin. See the pictures. Signed on the bottom M Le Verrier. BRONZE Made in France. Dimensions: Width x Length = 26 x 9.5 cm Height = 6 cm. Weight = 2100 grams Beautiful! Beautiful condition!
