A Phoenician bronze scaraboid seal featuring a domed shaped. The arched back of the seal has been decorated with a frieze of short incisions to the middle. The flat base has been incised with a stylised human figure, possibly standing and raising both arms as if performing a worship. There are two enigmatic symbols to the right. The entire image is framed by a single linear border. The seal has been perforated longitudinally for suspension; however, it is now blocked. Slight patination and earthly encrustations to the surface. Phoenicia was a civilisation originating from the Levant, the people of Phoenicia spoke a Semitic language and purposed jewellery, as in many ancient societies, to mark social status, wealth and privilege.
