Late 16th / early 17th century carved wood figure of Salvator Mundi, possibly Mechelen
A rare devotional sculpture depicting Christ as Salvator Mundi, holding the orb of the world in His left hand. The figure is carved with flowing drapery and a deeply expressive face typical of Flemish workshop production, possibly Mechelen. The surface shows attractive age and a warm historic patina.
Condition: Good condition for its age, with expected wear, Right arm missing. Base lost. Please inspect the photos carefully for a full impression.
Provenance: Private Belgian collection
