Ancient Greek Black-Glazed Pottery Kantharos Circa 4th century BC This lovely terracotta kantharos is formed with a globular body rising from a tall, spreading ring foot and finished with a broad, flat rim. Two upright loop handles spring from the upper shoulder to the rim edge, framing the vessel. The exterior is coated in a lustrous black glaze and decorated with a zone of evenly spaced vertical flutes around the body.
