Yes - Tormato, Going, Generator, 90125 plus tour books - 多個標題 - LP - 各種模壓雷射唱片 - 1978

#lesinrocks They are the godfathers of prog. No music more prog than that of Yes. On offer the crux of their second phase. Less symphonic, more emphasis on songs and (guitar)sound. No more hippie stuff, rock on! Also two tour books of those years. These four albums are in fine condition. Vinyl NM, sleeves EX+ to NM, except one. They were cherished for decades and still can shatter windows if rightly played! The tourbooks are as new, exept for one sticky page. Check all pictures! 1. Going for the one (1977) is their transitional album. Rick Wakeman had left because the music became too far out but returned here. Everyone had put a solo album out so the slate was clean. Recorded in Switzerland for tax reasons, this album finally had no big concept nor extended suites and even no Roger Dean art. Two singles, the title song and Wondrous stories. The change was welcomed by public and press, it went to nr 1. Atlantic, ATL 50379, 1977, Netherlands. Vinyl NM, (trifold-)sleeve VG+, incl original inner lyricssleeve 2. Tormato (1978) was written during soundchecks and rehearsals of the Going for the one-tour. It has the most songs of any Yes-album: nine. Ne instruments were introduced, especially keyboards. But tensions rose high, after release both Wakeman and Anderson left the band. The title stems from an incident where Rick threw a tomato at a concept for the cover. In 2018 a special edition was released on Record Store Day. Atlantic, ATL 50518, 1978, Netherlands. Vinyl NM, sleeve NM (cut-out), incl original inner lyricssleeve 3. 90125 (1983) is not the zipcode for Beverly Hills, but the catalogue number of their new label Atco. It features their biggest hit Owner of a lonely heart and won a Grammy. Actually, it is not a real Yes record as they had disbanded. Squire and White went on with new guitar player Trevor Rabin as Cinema. But that band already existed. And when Anderson rejoined they went back to Yes. But the sound is really different from everything Yes had done until then, thanks to Rabin. It chattered all their sales as well. ATCO, 790125, 1983, Germany, Vinyl NM, sleeve NM. Including original lyric sleeve. 4. Big generator (1987) was surprisingly written without much influence from main man Jon Anderson. Surprised by the new bigger fanbase he wanted to experiment with musical styles but producer Trevor horn was not interested and let the other ones come up with songs. Even more than on the previous albums Trevor Rabin took the lead but he incorporated lots of little things from the others which resulted in slightly longer songs again. ATCO, 790-522, 1987, Germany, vinyl NM, sleeve VG+ (sticker damage on front, check pics. When I bought this they said it was the club edition but I cannot make out the stamping in the run-out (I an 70). Incl lyric sleeve Also: 5. Tourbook of 1984 world tour, supporting the 90125 album. Twenty pages, in mint condition. No folds, tear or wear. 6. Tourbook of 1991 world tour. This one has a little problem at the top on stweo pagesd, check the pics. Otherwise as mint as can be. There you have it. These albums were loved and cherished. I add brand-new sturdy PVC outer protective sleeves plus plastic-lined inner ones. All will be preciously packed and swiftly send. Check my reviews, a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
