Pink topaz is surely the rarest color of topaz, and the most desired by collectors. Only a few regions in the world produce colored imperial topaz—a loose term that describes very gemmy topaz of orange to red hue. Katlang is famous for intense orange topaz, and most importantly, for these pink beauties which only make up approximately 0.01% of this deposit's output. In this case, this specimen features a really large, hot pink, and blocky topaz crystal with a flat termination and excellent transparency, set on a breccia matrix full of other topaz and quartz fragments.
