1x La Rioja Alta 1973 Special bottled for the centenary of the cellar 1890 -1990 Elaboration: A part of the tempranillo came from the oldest own vineyards located in the Rioja Alta subzone, Varietales: mainly from the municipalities of Ollauri, Rodezno and Cenicero, and the rest of the mazuelo and graciano of the Melchorón I and II estates of Briones and Rodezno. Another part was bought after a selection of grapes from the best majuelos from local producers, on the condition that they contain enough sugar to produce at least 12% alcohol and without white grape mixing. It remains for 24 months in the large foundational centenary oak tins of the cellar, made of gray wood, where it completes the mallotic fermentation and stabilizes. Bred in used 225-liter American oak barrels, ranging in age from 18 to 20 years, for a period of 10 years, 120 months. Subjected to a total of 20 manual fires, at a rate of 2 per year, to eliminate the grounds and oxygenate slightly. Bottled in mid-1986. A minimum of 42 months of bottleneck storage in the old Haro drafts before being marketed. It is a special selection made expressly to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the winery (Centenary Edition 1890 - 1990).
