Aged barley wine, 12%. Grand Cru version of Nieuw Ligt, brewed and bottled once a year in a limited edition with the filling year on the bottle; we brew this batch slightly stronger than the regular Nieuw Ligt at 12% alcohol, then let the bottles age in the brewery for a few years before selling, and after about 5 years the flavor really comes into its own, reminiscent of an old port or sherry.
