Structured around the 2011 harvest, Krug Grande Cuvée 167th Edition is made from a blend of 191 wines from 13 different years, the oldest dating from 1991 and the youngest from 2011. Comprising 47% of Pinot Noir, 36% of Chardonnay and 17% Pinot Meunier born on the greatest terroirs of the Champagne region, the blend of Krug Grande Cuvée 167th Edition combines the wines of the year with 42% of reserve wines meticulously selected from the house's extraordinary library. After a long 7-year rest in the coolness of the Krug cellars, Krug Grande Cuvée 167th Edition received its cork in the winter of 2017-2018. On tasting, Krug Grande Cuvée 167th Edition seduces with its notes of dried fruits evoking hazelnut and almond, while gourmet brioche, honey and fruit jelly notes perfume the nose.
