Dørlåse - Dogon - Mali (Ingen mindstepris)
Two beautiful old wooden doorlocks, used to close granary sheds in the Pays Dogon in Mali. The Dogon are well-known for their carvings, especially on shutterdoors and locks. Presented here are two well-used locks from this region. The dark one has fine line-decorations on the front and it`s design represents a stylised anthropomorphic figure. 34 cm high. The lighter coloured lock has a more rounded "body" and also represents a stylised anthropomorphic figure. Lined decorations on the front. Hight.; 34 cm. Both locks were collected in the village of Irilli in the late 1990`s.
