The damage must be reported to your local post office within 7 days of delivery, and promptly to us and Catawiki support. 【Product details】 This elegant hanging scroll (kakejiku) from the Showa period features a graceful depiction of two cranes, meticulously painted on silk and attributed to Ogiso Shoun 小木曽祥雲 (born 1948), a renowned painter from Gifu Prefecture. Cranes hold special significance in Japanese culture. They symbolise longevity, fidelity, and good fortune. The artist beautifully expresses this symbolism through the poised figures — one crane stretches its neck upward in an elegant display, while the other bows gently in a gesture of grace and harmony. Ogiso Shoun was born in 1948 in Gifu Prefecture. He has been selected for the Toyo Bijutsu-ten (Oriental Art Exhibition) twenty times, among many other exhibitions. He is a member of the Toyo Bijutsu-kai (Oriental Art Society). The painting is mounted with refined green and beige silk brocade, which complements the artwork’s tranquil theme. The scroll ends are crafted from resin. The artwork bears the signature "祥雲Shoun" and the artist’s seal, further adding to its refined presence.
