Magnificent white and gold encrusted florals Demitasse Cup and Saucer, marvelous hand painted, with lovely various small flowers, in excellent condition. This Cup and Saucer is identified as Form B which was designed in 1855 by Ernst August Leuteritz, head of the design department. It's a rich and ornamental shape with gold bronze. The gilding is heavy and thick on this set. The Cup and Saucer are further enhanced with hand painted small strewn flowers. Polychrome painting with scattered flowers, ornamental gilding, delicate forget-me-nots and other flowers, this pattern is of sublime delicacy. Floral painting on porcelain has a long tradition at the Meissen manufactory that has grown continually throughout the ages and continues on to this day. Both pieces are in excellent condition, marked with Meissen blue crossed sword mark of the period and numbered, two grinding lines, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
