A genuine bronze wearable cross pendant dating to the High Middle Ages / Crusader period (circa 12th–13th century). The pendant was clearly intended to be worn, as shown by the integral suspension loop. The cross has expanded terminals and a pronounced central square boss engraved with an X-shaped cross. This feature is best interpreted as a cross-in-cross or saltire motif, a well-known element of medieval Christian symbolism. Such motifs are traditionally associated with faith, protection, and consecration, emphasizing Christ at the spiritual center of the cross. The surface shows authentic age-related wear and natural patina consistent with medieval bronze, with no indications of modern manufacture.
