You are bidding on an exclusive triptych of original mixed-media artworks by Spanish artist Æ, featuring Jiji — the iconic black cat — reimagined through a poetic, monochrome visual language inspired by Japanese print culture and quiet domestic ritual.
Rendered in deep blacks and luminous whites, the three compositions explore intimacy, curiosity, and stillness. Everyday moments — a drink on the table, a book left open, a bowl of water disturbed by gentle motion — become meditative scenes where time appears suspended.
The triptych unfolds as a narrative sequence: anticipation, contemplation, and reflection. Together, the three works create a cohesive atmosphere of nocturnal calm, blending folklore, memory, and symbolic presence.
Influenced by Edo-period illustration, matchbox graphics, and underground print textures, the surfaces reveal engraved lines, soft grain, and expressive contrast — transforming simple moments into visual haiku.
Each artwork is individually hand-painted, signed, and numbered by the artist. The set is produced in a strictly limited edition of only 10 triptychs worldwide and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity with holographic seal.
