Electricity wiring is in good working order. The lampshade has a beautiful shape and is nicely art-deco decorated and signed GILLES. Paul GILLES did not manufacture glass himself but had it made by his colleague DEGUE at the Cristalleries de Compiègne factory. Beautiful pressed glass especially when lit (see photo's). The shade is Art Deco decorated with fruit motifs. Nice thick glass. Old glass with air bubbles entrapped. The Lampshade has all the characteristics typical of art deco including fruit motifs and leaves.. and originates from France and dates around 1925-1950. The frame/stand is glass and from a later date. The light bulb is not included in this lot: it is to demonstrate that electricity wiring is in good working condition. These standard B22 bulbs are easily found for sale at (internet) stores. This Decorative Lamp adds a perfect detail to every interior.
