A very unique spinel, unlike anything I have seen in my 20 years in the world of colored gemstones . With a significant weight of 4.95 ct , This spinel was mined in the Bai Son Deposits of Vietnam and displays a phenomenal play of colors, with a color change effect ranging from a very neon violet with hints of pink to a deeper blue/purple with a touch of pink, depending on the lighting in which the stone is viewed. Featuring a very good native mixed cushion cut, this gemstone is “unfortunately” slight included (the inclusions are easily detectable upon close inspection). The inclusions are strictly internal, with no inclusions reaching the surface and no other surface-reaching features or defects present.
