Item Description: This is a signed studio pottery vase titled "Unran Kabin" (雲藍花瓶, Cloud-Blue Vase) by the acclaimed Japanese ceramic artist Morino Taimei (森野 泰明). The vase has an elegant, elongated gourd-like silhouette with a narrow neck and rounded body. Its surface features a striking turquoise blue matte glaze overlaid with flowing, abstract brown-gold drip motifs resembling trails of clouds or ink in water—capturing a dynamic, organic aesthetic. The texture is lightly cratered and matte, giving the piece a tactile and visual depth. The base is unglazed and signed with the artist’s incised signature, and it comes in its original tomobako (wooden storage box), which is signed and sealed by the artist. This vase exemplifies Morino’s mastery of color, glaze, and modern form within the context of Japanese ceramic tradition.
