A Chinese Famille Rose and gilt porcelain dish with court officials / mandarins. China, 19th century, late Qing dynasty, Tonghzi (1861-1875, 同治) mark and of the period. Rare and of a very good painting quality! Finely potted with slughtly flared top-rim, decorated to the interior with a group of court officials in traditional attire; one with banner, one kneeling. Pagoda, rocks and mountians behind them. Detils highlighted with gilding. Exterior with four iron red bats. Inscribed to the base with iron red six-character Tongzhi seal-mark and from the period. Jian Ding (Certified) Export Approval Seal to the base, from Tianjin First Cultural Relics Bureau (export approval seal mark from Tianjin). Seals have been issued from around 1949 for on any old porcelain allowed to be exported out of China, but it does not confirm the age of the item. Daylight pictures included. Dimensions: diameter - 17,7 cm; height - 3,4 cm. Weight - 275 g. Provenance: private collection, Berlin, Germany. Conditions report: a small chip with associated hairline, other longer hairline, few short hairlines most probably to the glaze only, as invisible on reverse. Painted decor in very good condition, with minimal wear. Gilding in good condition, wear mostly to the top-rim. Strong white light tested. Check pictures for details.
