Hardback with date 1903 to title page. Color pictorial label on front cover, with the endpaper designed repeated four times (Quinby Plate I and Quinby 4; Linder, p. 423). Color frontispiece and 26 color plates, all by the author. Publisher's original brown boards with pictorial cover label, spine and front cover lettered in white. Free of inscriptions. Spine ends and corners a little rubbed and bumped. Small scuffs to spine front and back. Small stains on back board towards upper left corner. Minor to none shelf lean.
