Description
First UK edition, first printing of A Burnt-Out Case, published by William Heinemann in 1961.
This copy is hand signed and dedicated by Graham Greene on the title page, making it a highly desirable association copy.
The novel was inspired by Greene’s visits to leper colonies in the Congo and the Cameroons and is dedicated to Dr Michel Lechat, a medical doctor working at the leper colony in Yonda, Africa.
A classic late novel by one of the most important English writers of the 20th century, scarce in signed first edition form.
