In this case, the piece consists of an ice clear quartz crystal coated with a thick layer of muscovite and chlorite that features microcrystals of pyrite and siderite. The piece is a complete floater with a full recrystallized bottom. Panasqueira is one of the most important mines when it comes to specimen production in the whole of Europe, with the best apatites produced in the continent in recent times having come from here, but in reality it produces more than apatite with other specimens like this one often being overshadowed.
