A rare and highly atmospheric architectural artwork that brings genuine 1910s modernist character into any interior.
A striking original stained-glass window panel from the 1910s, salvaged from a historic inner-city residence in Amsterdam. The composition is strongly geometric and architectonic, reflecting the progressive design language of the interwar period. The colour blocking and orthogonal layout show clear affinity with early Art Deco and De Stijl-influenced modernist design, making this a highly decorative and architecturally relevant piece.
The panel is executed in hand-blown glass, visible in the subtle relief, air bubbles and natural irregularities of the surface — a hallmark of authentic early 20th-century craftsmanship. The colour palette of violet, cobalt blue, green, amber and milky opaline glass creates a balanced yet powerful visual rhythm, with excellent light diffusion.
Salvaged, and mounted in a solid heavy wooden frame and fitted with original brass hanging hooks, ready for wall mounting or window display. A true interior statement piece with strong presence, ideal for collectors of Art Deco, De Stijl, Amsterdam School and architectural stained glass.

During the 1910s, stained glass experienced a modernist revival in the Netherlands, particularly in urban townhouses, stairwells and upper windows. Influenced by the emerging visual language of De Stijl, Amsterdam School architecture and early Art Deco, artisans moved away from figurative religious imagery toward abstract, geometric compositions. This panel reflects that transition perfectly, combining traditional leaded glass techniques with a distinctly modernist visual vocabulary.
