It's not a dyed or treated stone, but a naturally occurring variety of moonstone. Pink moonstone, like other moonstones, displays adularescence, a milky sheen or glow caused by the scattering of light within the stone's structure. What the Mohs scale means for moonstone: Scratch Resistance: A rating of 6 to 6.5 means that moonstone can be scratched by any material harder than it, such as a piece of quartz (which is 7 on the Mohs scale). So please don't think that it is glass. Glass has a hardness of approximately 5.5 on the Mohs scale. In the last picture is a professional tester that indicates the hardness as described, i.e. it is 6 to 6.5. This necklace has this stone hardness 6.5 that proves that this is a real moonstone.
