It features a sophisticated arrangement of open staggered shelves, a pair of sliding doors at the top, a removable decorative panel on the right, and two drawers at the base. The piece is finished in black lacquer and richly decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay (raden) throughout. The panels depict figurative garden landscapes, while the frame is adorned with floral roundels and geometric borders. The interiors of the drawers are fully finished in nashiji (gold-sprinkled lacquer), a mark of high-quality craftsmanship. The cabinet shows clear signs of age and long-term use. The lacquer surface has extensive cracking and areas of loss, and chips are present. Cracking is visible at three corners of each drawer.
