Rosenthal - Johan van Loon - Βάζο (6) - περγαμηνή πορσελάνη - 2 καλλιτεχνικά φλιτζάνια, κουτί με καπάκι

Dear Bidders, thank you for your interest in my offer. I'm offering here a refined art porcelain set by Rosenthal, designed by Johan van Loon, consisting of three vases, two collectible artist cups (Künstlertasse No. 11) with matching saucers, and a lidded box. Produced in the late 20th century (circa 1980s–1990s), the set features a striking hand-glazed blue/turquise-and-white color transition, characteristic of van Loon’s expressive, sculptural approach to porcelain. The Künstlertasse belongs to Rosenthal’s renowned collector series, created in collaboration with internationally recognized artists and designers. Each numbered cup was conceived as a functional art object and issued in limited editions, making them highly sought after by collectors worldwide. A coherent and visually strong ensemble, ideal for collectors of modern Rosenthal design and contemporary studio ceramics. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Rosenthal, founded in 1879 in Selb (Germany), is known for high-quality porcelain and long standing collaborations with leading designers of the 20th century — theirs is a legacy of merging art and industrial design in timeless creations. Johan Gerard van Loon (1934–2020) was a Dutch ceramist and textile artist who became internationally renowned for his innovative approach to ceramic art and design. He studied textile design in Amsterdam and later deepened his craft through training in ceramics in Stockholm and London, working with well-known figures such as Lucie Rie and Stig Lindberg early in his career.
