The material covers a broad geographical spectrum across Switzerland, including major cities, alpine resorts, regional towns and numerous historical postal codes no longer in use today. The time span covers multiple decades of Swiss postal history, illustrating the development of PTT special cancellations and corporate postal publicity. The collection includes a strong representation of Automobil-Postbureau cancellations (mobile post offices), exhibition and event postmarks (e.g. Zürich events, fairs and cultural festivals), alpine tourism cancellations, scouting and international events, and PTT corporate promotional material. All items are systematically recorded in a comprehensive Excel database with fields for town, postal code, date, special cancellation type and remarks.
