This rare vase of malachite jade glass showing "Two Nude Ladies in Relief" was designed in 1932 for the "INGRID" series by Frantisek Pazourek for Curt Schlevogt. The design shows nude figures in relief, in various poses, on one side between the grape vines and on the other amongst the flowers and birds. Both relief panels are flanked by two faceted side panels. The jade glass is made and polished in the Schlevogt Glassworks in Northern Bohemia. Curt Schlevogt was an American-born, Czech glass designer and entrepreneur. Most of the moulds for Bohemian malachite glass were designed by Curt Schlevogt in the 1930's. The Ingrid collection debuted at the Spring Trade Fair in Leipzig in 1934 and later at the Chicago and Brussels World Expositions in 1934 and 1935. An extremely rare, exquisite item in impeccable, near MINT condition with only very slight scratching on the base due to movement. Careful packaging will ensure a safe delivery.
