→5.2 cm long x 2.3 cm thick at the widest point Spinosaurus teeth
It is a nice and thick teeth with natural shine to it of the iconic Spinosaurus from lower Cretaceous around ~95 Million years ago. The teeth is in natural state.
The top of teeth shows feeding and usage signs as can be seen from the tip eroson. The presented teeth is effectively fully covered with the enamel with a part of root also attached. There is nice red section at the root region of the teeth probably due to presence iron compounds during fossilization process. The teeth can lean back on its surface making it look very cool. However, the most interesting part is the bottom of the teeth which shows the cross section of the fossil revealing how the fossil looks from inside. The characteristic , longitudinal ridges (or flutes) and striations that run from the base to the tip of the crown can also be seen and felt with the finger on this fossil. These ridges and striations were are key feature because Spinosaurus teeth are meant to hold firm and pierce through slippery fish which it hunted. The teeth are not used for shearing and cutting because for that purpose Spinosaurus used it claws.
Overall its a very nice specimen of the Icon of Upper Cretaceous i.e., Spinosaurus
Detailed photos have been provided for reference.
